Day-to-day tasks

In your day-to-day duties you could:

  • clean and prepare the chapel before the service
  •  make sure cremation equipment operates safely
  •  receive coffins and carry out identification checks
  •  meet mourners as they arrive and escort them into the chapel
  •  make sure that legislation and regulations are followed
  •  operate cremation equipment
  •  accompany visitors to existing memorials
  •  keep records
